Polis Re helps individuals and companies understand insurance products, compare terms, prepare documents and support their contract. This approach saves the client time and makes it possible to evaluate offers not only by price but also by the real scope of protection.
Insurance becomes a useful risk management tool when the policy terms match the client’s needs. Our task is to clarify the purpose of the insurance, draw attention to the limitations of the contract and help you through the whole path from the initial consultation to the settlement of an insured event.
Why clients come to Polis Re
Saving time
The client does not have to work through a large number of terms, definitions and document lists alone.
Comparing terms
Offers are evaluated by risks, exclusions, limits, deductible, terms and the claims procedure, not only by cost.
Support
We help you understand the contract, prepare for arranging it and know what to do when an insured event occurs.
The roles of Polis Re and the insurance company
Polis Re does not replace the insurance company. We can advise, help with product selection and documents, but the contract is concluded with the insurer named in the policy. It is the insurance company that accepts the risk, sets the final terms within the framework of the law and bears the obligation to make the insurance payment.
Principles for selecting insurance protection
When working with corporate and private clients, it is useful to apply clear principles for procuring and selecting services:
- efficient use of the budget: the cost of the policy should be proportionate to the scale of the possible loss;
- transparent comparison: identical parameters of sum insured, risks and deductible are compared against each other;
- competitive selection: offers are evaluated against uniform criteria without artificially limiting participants;
- quality of terms: exclusions, documents for payout, assessment procedure and review times are taken into account;
- client’s interest: recommendations are built around the real need, the specifics of the object and the acceptable level of retained risk.
For businesses, this approach helps make insurance procurement more manageable. For individuals, it helps to understand what exactly the premium is paid for and in which situations compensation can be expected.
What support includes
1. Needs analysis
First, the object of insurance, possible events and financial consequences are identified. For example, a liability policy protects against claims by third parties, while property insurance protects the client’s own asset. These tasks cannot be treated as interchangeable.
2. Selecting and comparing offers
We help compare the available options taking the client’s wishes into account. The comparison table may include the sum insured, the list of risks, exclusions, the deductible, the territory, the term, the price, inspection requirements and the documents needed in the event of a claim.
3. Checking the terms before arranging the policy
Before paying, it is important to check the correctness of the IIN or BIN, the details of the car or property, the period of protection, the beneficiary and the insurer’s details. The client should receive the policy, the insurance rules and confirmation of payment.
4. Support during the term of the contract
During the policy term, you may need clarifications, permitted amendments, the addition of objects, duplicates or a reminder about the end of cover. Every change must be formalized in the manner provided for by the contract.
5. Help with an insured event
We advise on the first steps and the list of documents: how to record the circumstances, notify the insurer and preserve evidence. The final decision on whether to recognize the event and the amount of the payout is made by the insurance company on the basis of the law and the contract.
6. Support in case of disagreements
If a claim is refused or you disagree with the calculation, we help organize the documents and obtain a written justification. In cases provided for by law, the dispute goes through a mandatory pre-trial stage with the insurance ombudsman. If necessary, the client has the right to seek independent legal advice.
What an individual gets
- a clear explanation of the differences between compulsory motor insurance and CASCO;
- selection of protection for property, travel, health, accidents or life;
- a check of the key terms and limitations before payment;
- a reminder of the policy expiry date;
- guidance on documents and actions when an event occurs;
- help in communicating with the insurance company.
What a corporate client gets
For organizations, insurance often covers several groups of risks: employees, vehicles, property, cargo, construction and erection projects, and professional and general liability. Polis Re helps gather the initial data, formulate requirements and bring offers to a comparable form.
Corporate support may also include maintaining a register of policies, monitoring deadlines, preparing documents for amendments, coordinating notifications and organizing materials on insured events. This reduces the burden on employees, but does not remove the need to provide the insurer with accurate information in good time.
How to compare offers properly
| Parameter | What to check |
|---|---|
| Coverage | Which events are recognized as insured and which are excluded |
| Limit | The maximum payout per contract, event or injured person |
| Deductible | What part of the loss remains with the client and how it is calculated |
| Claims settlement | Notification period, documents, inspection, assessment and method of payment |
| Price | Whether the premium is comparable for the same scope of protection |
What we do not promise
It is impossible to guarantee the lowest price under any conditions, the recognition of every event as insured, or a payout of a predetermined amount without studying the contract and the documents. A proper consultation shows the possibilities and the limitations, rather than creating false expectations.
If an offer looks significantly cheaper than the others, check the deductible, exclusions, limits and the actual insurer. Savings at purchase may lead to greater out-of-pocket costs in the event of a loss.
