The company holds a licence to carry out insurance (reinsurance) activities in the “general insurance” line No. 2.1.40 dated 17 July 2014.

Until 2009 the company worked mainly with legal entities. These include companies such as TNG-OralGeo, the Nitrogen Plant, ZapKazKrioProm, SINOOIL, Petrochina International Kazakhstan LLP, Prosystems Petroleum Ltd LLP, Turan Express JSC, Kazakh Development International LLP, Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP, Zhaikmunai LLP, AES Ust-Kamenogorsk CHP JSC, ARMAN-MUNAI LLP, as well as most contractors of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan and many others.
In 2006 JSC “Insurance Company “Salem” reinsured more than 70% of risks, and in 2007 it directly insured 100% of the risks associated with the in-orbit operation of the first Kazakhstani communications and broadcasting satellite “KAZSAT”, as well as the risks of ground-based space infrastructure and liability in the operation of space objects.
