Freedom Finance Insurance JSC (Freedom Insurance) is a general insurer within the Freedom Holding Corp. ecosystem. Its main focus is convenience for motorists: electronic policies on the website, Kazakhstan's first insurance subscription and a digital road accident settlement service in which the payment can reach a card within a few days. In parallel the company is developing a large corporate business, from property and construction and installation risks to oil operations.
History and development
The company was registered on 9 June 2009 under the name Trust Insurance JSC. On 29 October 2018 it was re-registered with the justice authorities and renamed Freedom Finance Insurance JSC. Today the company is moving to the single Freedom brand together with other structures of the group. The current ARDFM licence is No. 2.1.30 of 9 October 2025.
In recent years the insurer has noticeably strengthened its capital: according to the company, its charter capital was increased by KZT 5 billion, and on another occasion its capital was boosted by KZT 3 billion. According to the official website, Freedom Insurance is among the top 3 companies in Kazakhstan's insurance market by assets.

Management and branch network
According to ARDFM, the company's insurance holding is Freedom Finance JSC, part of the Freedom Holding Corp. group. The board of directors is chaired by Timur Ruslanovich Turlov and the management board by Azamat Rashidovich Kerimbayev; the board includes independent directors. In addition to the head office in Almaty, the company has 16 branches: two in Astana and one each in Almaty, Aktobe, Atyrau, Kostanay, Taraz, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Taldykorgan, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Semey, Kyzylorda, Uralsk, Kokshetau and Aktau. This is one of the widest regional networks among general insurance companies.
Ratings and reinsurance
The international agency Moody's has assigned the company a financial strength rating of "Ba1" with a stable outlook. S&P Global Ratings has consistently raised Freedom Insurance's national scale rating: first from "kzBB+" to "kzBBB-", and then to the current level of "kzA-". The company's property risks and cargo are protected by a comprehensive obligatory reinsurance treaty placed with Hannover Re, rated "AA-" by S&P. The treaty covers property and construction and installation insurance on an "all risks" basis, business interruption, machinery breakdown, fire risks, and the risks of terrorism and civil unrest.

Corporate insurance
For legal entities the company offers insurance of property, financial losses from business interruption, construction and installation risks, and cargo. In the motor line it insures road, air, water and rail transport, as well as the liability of their owners. The liability block includes voluntary motor third-party liability, professional liability, liability of carriers and tenants, environmental insurance, compulsory insurance of owners of hazardous facilities and insurance of subsoil-use site-restoration obligations. DTP.kz: a road accident without the traffic police
The company's flagship service is DTP.kz (the European protocol) on the website and in the mobile app. Participants in an accident record the incident themselves and submit the claim right at the scene. Documents are signed online through the Digital ID digital identification system, and the status of the claim is tracked in the personal account. According to the company, receiving a payment used to take up to 100 days; now it takes from a few hours to five days, provided all the required documents are in place. A policy check, a depreciation calculator and a round-the-clock call centre are also available.
Important: the five-day payment period applies when all the documents needed for a decision are provided. The terms of CASCO and subscriptions depend on the selected tariff.
How to receive a payment
Record the accident
If conditions allow, record the incident through DTP.kz without calling the traffic police; in other cases follow the standard procedure.
Submit a claim online
Fill in the claim on the website or in the app and sign the documents through Digital ID.
Track the status
In your personal account you can see which documents have been accepted and at what stage the review is.
Receive the money on your card
After the decision, the payment is transferred to your bank card.

Freedom Finance Insurance JSC is licensed and supervised by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM). The company operates in the general insurance line under licence No. 2.1.30 of 09.10.2025.
