How to report an insured event

  1. Ensure safety and document the event

In the event of an accident, fire, theft or other incident, call the relevant emergency services and preserve evidence.

  2. Notify the insurer

Report to Centras Insurance through the contact centre, an office or the online claims service on the website within the periods specified in the contract.

  3. Hand over the documents

Provide the application, the policy and documents confirming the fact and amount of the damage; if necessary, present the property for inspection.

  4. Receive indemnity

After the damage is assessed and the documents are reviewed, the company makes a decision and pays the insurance indemnity.

Important: for compulsory lines of insurance, the settlement procedure and deadlines are established by law; for voluntary lines, by the insurance rules and the contract. Do not repair damaged property before it has been inspected if the contract requires this.
